Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

When can I leave my vehicle to be repaired?
East Cooper Paint & Body Shop will provide you with the earliest appointment time available. You may be able to leave your vehicle with us immediately. Please contact us for appointment availability.
How long will the repairs take?
We will provide you with an estimated date of completion after the initial appraisal of the collision damage. Each collision repair is unique and additional damage is often found after we open up the vehicle, which affects the completion date. Other factors such as the need to order parts (and parts availability) can affect the completion date.
How will I know when the repairs are done?
You will be notified when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. Feel free to call the shop or send us e-mail during the repair process, if you have questions or concerns.
Should I wash my car after the repair?
For the first 30 days, wash your vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge. Always use clean, fresh water. Wash your vehicle in the shade. Do not wax or polish your vehicle for the first 90 days. This will allow the new finish to completely cure. Avoid parking under trees and utility lines which may attract birds. Do not scrape ice or snow off your new finish. In the event something gets on your finish and you cannot remove it, come by and see us and we will assist you.
